Cycling is one of the most beautiful sport one can relish, now to mix up with serious charitable cause is yet another thing, yet to feel the passing of wind across ones face as you travel across different terrains seeing different views on and on, seeing the people of different cultures all eagerly waiting to a have a good look at the spirit of the challenging brothers for a cause, best of luck , Jessica did it in 210 days with wind power, you are going to make it with human muscle powered by the mind,May our Lord Jesus have good watch over you and postpone his coming so that he can further meet more feats from his human brethern accomplishing with his help.Tiny A D

Hi,
Just came across your website and found the picture taken in mumbai of the certain "Janakidas Mehra (Who no one has heard before)"

Well, he is not really know as a cyclist. His greater claim to fame is in Cinema. Here is his link on wikipedia.

Well, good stuff. Best of luck with the rest of your tour.

Well done, fellas. It's been a pleasure to follow your progress over these past months. Have you a way for people without credit cards to support you (before the banks do away with cheques all together)?

Will your bikes be put out to pasture, or are you going to carry on cycling? Probably a bit too soon to answer that one...

Hey Jon,

Just came across your challenge on facebook via chance, I'm an old friend of a friend (so to speak) from back in Brighton, and having lost contact with you I had know idea about the cancer or your TCC challenge. I felt compelled to write a quick message and donate some money. Your determination and spirit is inspirational and I wish you all the best in those final miles of your journey xx

BVqGk Hi,I'm a student from China,I've read your journey on the newspaper. And I think highly of you.
I love riding bike, too.Every summer holiday I would ride my mountain bike to the countryside with my classmate. There's a time we rode 100km in a day!
My teacher always said,"where there's a will, there's a way."And I want to tell U,the cancer's not frightening, just keep your will as hard as a rock! You can make it!I'll wait your coming to china! Best wishes.

Dear Jon & Dom,

It is really nice to read through your updates. I'm sure this entire experience must really be exhilirating. I was just wondering what the weather is like wherever you currently are. I hope for your sake, it isn't too windy because i certainly hate it when the wind makes you push those thigh muscles doubly hard.

Anyway, i hope you are maintaining a good diet as well - milk and fruits (specifically banana, orange and watermelon) are definitely worth having on a regular basis.

I wish you best of luck!

Regards,

Shiraz Shaikh.

Thank-you all for the messages of support- we do receive them all and it really helps to feed us with further energy to keep peddling!

Tahira- It's with regret that I've learned of your fathers diagnosis, I understand that Tata Memorial Hospital is the best hospital in India which also claims the best doctors so I hope it gives you some comfort knowing that your father is in the best possible hands. Your specific questions would be best raised to the doctor treating your father, I cannot give medical advice as I am not a trained professional but you can find out more through Macmillan's website (one of my four charities I am raising funds for http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Cancerinformation/Cancerinformation.aspx).

It's been great to have the support in India both with media and of the community. We had a great press conference in Kolkata yesterday and I hope that we can raise some further awareness in India that more cancer clinics are needed as well as doctors at affordable prices for the public.

Best Wishes,

Jon

Dear Jon and Dom,

Last week i saw you both in television, that time your both went Raipur in Chattisgarh, India. When i saw subtitles of news channel in television i was stopped because subtitles show don't fear with cancer, and you speak about your own disease and cancer awareness not the survivor but also talk about their family or relatives support.

Last month my father diagnosed Acute Mylo id Leukemia: AML(Blood cancer) he suffering M1 or Dr. sad it is 67% of Blood cancer, i learn and taking more information related to AML but i want to know more small and big thing related to AML, can you help me and collect some more information of AML.Write now my fathers treatment is going on in TATA Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai, India.

My some questions are -

1-what is the mean of 67% of Blood cancer?
2-Is the person age 52 years, what is the percentage of cure,
3-what are the precautions take for not taking any kind of infections.
4- Is it can be control after treatment, how?

I don't take any chance that's way i was decided that hospital because it is the biggest hospital of India and specific of Cancer treatment.

I like your courage and also inspire me your awareness relay it work my own self confidence, early i depressed and don't know what to do , but faith of Allah and seeing your experience it was encourage me and my family.

Hope you will achieve your destination one day,
I will pray to Allah, save and get well soon, all those people who survive cancer,
Take care and give my best regards to your family.

Dear Jon and Dom
Barnaby Bear is on his way to join you - hopefully in Calcutta, your mum suggested. It would be great if you could get some photos of him with you in the different countries so that the Pre-Prep children can follow his route - as well as yours. We will be having a special bike-riding fund-raising day for you in March, and will probably design a course with all the countries you have visited en route.

Best wishes for your adventure and safety.
